The Shark Company caters for scuba divers who love sharks, are looking for a unique conservation-based experience, and who want to get up close and personal with some of Africa’s threatened and charismatic, though little-known, sharks. From the coastal kelp forests to the deep blue sea, our diving trips are truly one of a kind.

SHARK TAGGING DIVE

For certified scuba divers, this is an unparalleled expedition! Our Shark Tagging Dive involves two totally jawsome scuba dives in the diverse kelp forests of Walker Bay. You will catch sharks by hand and finish each dive with a shark tagging experience. Meet up to 6 shark species on your dive. This dive is great for certified divers of all ages! Includes a free Shark Lab tour.

Duration: 5 – 6 hours

We require a minimum of 2 and will accept a maximum of 8 divers per expedition

Divers must be at least 11 years old.

07:30 am daily, weather permitting

Divers must have their Open Water Diver certificate

  • Seasick medication if you are prone to seasickness

BLUE AND MAKO SHARK DIVING

Travel out to the deep to explore the ocean wilderness of South Africa on board a luxury vessel designed with ultimate comfort in mind. On this expedition, you will dive or snorkel, depending on your qualifications, with blue and mako sharks. These are incredibly inquisitive and photogenic pelagic sharks, which are both curious and harmless. Our scientists will be on board for a completely unique guided blue water experience. Divers must be Open Water Certified or higher. There is an option to come as a snorkeler.

Duration: 10 hours with a single dive of 90 minutes
